January Holiday Programmes in RED

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Just a short email to assure you that we will be running holiday programmes as expected this week.

Some activities may need to be changed, according to external provider requirements, but we don’t know all of these yet. We have confirmed that activities on Monday will go ahead as planned:

  • Kea’s (Years 1-3): Mega Air
  • Pukeko’s (Years 4-6): Blo Karts (wear enclosed shoes)
  • Piwakawaka (Years 7-9): Laser Strike

Young people are not expected to wear masks on our programmes, although they’re welcome too, as according to government requirements “You do not need to wear a face covering when at special interest education, such as music lessons, art groups and girl guides.”

Oscar providers are not covered by the vaccine mandate, and we are prohibited from asking for passes from young people, as we are an essential service.

We will be asking for more hand washing, sanitising and good hygeine practices.

Parents/caregivers need to wear masks when dropping off and picking up, as well as signing-in manually or digitally. We again ask that you only use the Seaview Road entrance for the Kea’s and Pukeko’s and the Seafield Building over the road for the Piwakawaka’s.  This separates us from other users in the building including Compassion Trust staff and clients.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
