Youth Workers in Shirley Boys

Shout out to NZ Community Trust and The Trusts Community Foundation Ltd who have recently awarded us grants to support the work of our Youth Workers, especially Jayden and Finn who work with local boys and teens and support students at Shirley Boys High School.  When not running Surge, Tamatāne Boys Club, or Holiday Programmes, our youth workers are in school mentoring rangatahi, running groups, projects and speaking positively over these young men. Working under the 24-7 framework, in partnership with Queenspark Community Trust, their focus is on these 5 outcomes:

– Support students well-being
– Building Positive Relationships that support students
– Cultivating positive school spirit
– Developing Leadership
– Integrating young people into community activities
